Wigan Athletic and Southampton are eyeing Tottenham wing-back Danny Rose.

The Mirror says new Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has told the versatile left-back/midfielder that he must join another club if he wants first-team Premier League action this season.

The 22-year-old is ­interesting the Latics, who fear losing defender Maynor Figueroa.

Southampton have also made an inquiry as they prepare for a return to the top flight.
