Paraguay international Victor Caceres is a target for Blackburn Rovers.

The Mirror says Rovers boss Steve Kean is bidding to sign Caceres - and clear the way for Keith Andrews to join Wigan.

Versatile Caceres is due to join Rovers in a bargain deal from Libertad in his homeland, with a move due to be tied up by the weekend.

Caceres can play in defence or in front of the back four and could replace Republic of Ireland midfielder Andrews, who is sorting out a severance deal ahead of a cut-price switch to Latics.
