Wigan Athletic captain Mario Melchiot looks to have played his last game for the club this season after picking up an injury in the club's 0-0 draw with Reading on Saturday.
Their skipper will be missing as Wigan attempt to rubberstamp their top flight status though, according to Steve Bruce.
"He has had a scan and I think that he is out for the final two games," said Bruce on the club's official website.
"He has a small abductor tear and he hurt himself out there on the pitch.
"I cannot see him playing the remainder of the season."
