New Wigan Athletic signing Rachid Bouaouzan has revealed he had several offers before joining the Latics.

"I knew of Wigan's interest four weeks ago, they came to watch a game and were impressed," Bouaouzan told the Wigan Evening Post.

"Bolton were interested too, so were FC Utrecht and Feyenoord in Holland.

"I had a medical at Feyenoord, but afterwards I didn't hear anything, so I chose to go elsewhere.

"Wigan were my first choice, my agent spoke to Bolton, but I didn't."
