Wigan Athletic midfielder Jordi Gomez has had his red card appeal upheld by the Football Association.
The Spaniard was sent off for a challenge on Danny Rose in his side's 1-0 loss to Sunderland on Saturday which was set to land him a three-match suspension.
But the Latics appealed the decision as a wrongful dismissal which was supported by the FA and he will be free to play against Everton on the weekend.
"It does not bring back the time lost when Jordi had to leave the field but I am delighted that we can draw a line under this incident and that Jordi is available for us on Saturday," manager Roberto Mancini told the club's official website.
