Wigan's Golobart relieved after making amends for Inverness

Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Roman Golobart has admitted his relief at producing a late equaliser to help the club to a draw on the weekend.

The 19-year old Spanish centre-back, on loan from Wigan Athletic, saw his side fall behind against Kilmarnock when his attempted scissor clearance found its way into the back of his own net but with seven minutes remaining managed to sneak forward and head home a leveler.

Golobart suggested he was so happy with help his side grab a point when his earlier mistake could have denied them anything at home against Killie.

"The ball was bouncing around the six-yard area, it was behind me and so was one of their strikers. I tried to cover him and boot the ball away but it hit my shin-pad and went into the top corner of our goal," Golobart said.

"I was determined to make amends. It was easy to get the equaliser which was down to team work.

"A great cross came in, Billy (McKay) made a great header and I was there at the back post to turn the ball into the net."
