Oman captain Ali Al Habsi has sent a deep threat to the Australian national team ahead of Friday's World Cup qualifier in Muscat.
The Socceroos head to the Omani capital for their opening fixture of the final round of Brazil 2014 qualifying but Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Al Habsi has indicated that Holger Osieck's men will be in for a surprise despite most of his teammate not being professional players.
"They [teammates] play in front of maybe 100 fans in the stadium but that does not mean we are not going to try.
"We are going to try our best. We will fight until the end.""Every team that will come to Oman will have very big punishment," Al Habsi said.
