Wigan Athletic are set to move for Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf.
Latics boss Roberto Martinez is keen on the Senegalese and will now step up his pursuit after being turned down by Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard.
United are willing to loan out Diouf, who impressed last season during a spell at Blackburn Rovers.
