Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is refusing to reveal if former Arsenal, Portsmouth and Tottenham defender Sol Campbell is on his January hit list. Campbell is free to find himself a new club when the transfer window reopens next month after finally securing his release from Notts County earlier in December.
"Well I am sure you cannot buy the sort of experience you can get through playing many years in the Premiership so that is going to be a big asset for any football club," Martinez told Sky Sports News.
"From our point of view I will always talk about the players we have got in the squad and I am not going to hide from the situation that we want to improve our football club, improve our playing staff and you can only do that in the [transfer] windows.
"And we are going to do exactly what we do in every window - try to follow as many players as we can and make sure we get the right ones."
