Wigan Athletic face a battle in their pursuit of Blackpool winger Matt Phillips.

The Daily Mail says Wigan are weighing up big names but will also do their usual of considering who they could take from the Championship and improve.

Blackpool's Matt Phillips is a player other Premier League clubs are considering but may leave him for a year to develop further.

He is valued around £8m and Blackpool are not easy sellers.
