Motherwell prospect Jamie Murphy is in the sights of Wigan Athletic.

The Daily Mail says Wigan manager Roberto Martinez had the 21-year-old Murphy watched as he scored in his side's 3-0 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday.

Stoke City, Wolves, Tottenham, West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace were also represented at the game.

Martinez plans to use the cash raised from Charles N'Zogbia's sale to Aston Villa to bid for the youngster.
