Wigan Athletic are ready to bid for Espanyol midfielder Javi Marquez.
The Daily Mail says the 24-year-old playmaker has become one of the Barcelona club's most influential players and has battled back well from a broken leg in March.
However, the Spanish club are struggling against debts and are looking to offload some of their young stars with striker Jose Callejon and defender Victor Ruiz also under scrutiny.
