Wigan not keen to sell McCarthy, McManaman or Kone - Coyle

Wigan Athletic's new manager Owen Coyle insists the club does not need, or want, to sell in-demand trio James McCarthy, Callum McManaman or Arouna Kone.

22-year old midfielder McCarthy, 22-year old attacker McManaman and 29-year old Ivory Coast striker Kone are all being linked with a summer departure following the clubs relegation but Coyle says they are not looking to offload any key players.

"We don't, as a football club, want to sell anybody or have to sell anybody but we understand how football works and when you have got very talented players there will always be interest," he said.

"That just goes part and parcel with the game."
