Kone struck in their 3-0 win at Reading on Saturday.
Scotland international McArthur said: "He's a brilliant player and is like a new signing for us. He's gone away to the Africa Nations Cup, but that's four goals in two games. That's a lot of goals to a team.
"He's a very nice man and he's learning English as well.
"Even without the language, you can tell he's a really nice man and is always smiling.
"He's a good character for the changing room. He realises he's got an opportunity to score goals and he's doing that."
