Wigan midfielder McArthur convinced Celtic target Rodallega will stay in England

Wigan Athletic midfielder James McArthur believes departing teammate Hugo Rodallega will stay in the Premier League.

The striker is a target for Celtic.

McArthur told the Daily Record: "It's no surprise he's been linked with a lot of big clubs. Spurs have also been mentioned so it would be a real coup if Neil could tempt him to Celtic.

"He's scored goals in the Premiership so there's no doubt he would do the same in the SPL. No disrespect but the standard of defenders he'd be up against won't be as good as down in England so he'd score a lot of goals in Scotland. Having played with him for two years, I know Hugo is capable of playing for one of the top clubs in England and I'd be surprised if they aren't in for him this summer.

"He's good enough to play for one of the top six in the Premiership so that's what Celtic might be up against."
