Wigan midfielder Diame pushing for Real Betis deal

Wigan Athletic midfielder Momo Diame is ready to join Real Betis.

The Sun says Diame - who Roberto Martinez signed from Madrid outfit Rayo Vallecano in 2009 - wants to return to the Spanish sunshine.

The midfielder flew to Seville for talks with Betis coach Pepe Mel and sporting director Vlada Stosic last week.

Diame wants a three-year deal worth £3.5million, and is close to agreeing terms with Betis.
