Wigan Athletic may offer a new deal to striker Mauro Boselli after he returned from his loan spell with Genoa.
The 26-year old Argentine struggled to make an impact in his debut season in England, scoring just one goal in 12 appearances after arriving for £6million from Estudiantes last summer, but he may still get to remain at the DW Stadium if manager Roberto Martinez's comments are anything to go by.
"Mauro is back from Genoa and he needs a rest first of all," Martinez said.
"He is a proven goalscorer, though, and that will never change. They are the hardest players to find.
"We'll sit down with him and find out how he found his time in Italy.
"Then we'll work out what the next step will be for all parties."
