Wigan Athletic assistant boss Eric Black says management are delighted with the form of veteran forward Antoine Sibierski.

The Frenchman made his first appearance for six weeks - and only his second for the Latics this season - as a substitute at Middlesbrough last weekend and Black believes the 34-year-old could yet play an important role.

"It is great to have 'Sibi' back in the squad. He has not played many games but he will be invaluable to the end of the season," he added.

Sibierski is off contract in June.
