A raft of club's are thought to be monitoring the progress of Coventry stopper Keiren Westwood and Wigan are the latest would-be suitors. Latics boss Roberto Martinez has reportedly pinpointed the English Championship keeper as the man he wants to be Wigan's long-term number one.

The 26-year-old has been arguably the best goalkeeper in the Championship this season and his performances have alerted several clubs, including Celtic and Everton.

Westwood is due to run out of contract at the end of the season and Coventry had been hoping to sell him in January to get a fee for services.

But the Sky Blues did not receive any offers so the Republic of Ireland international will be able to move on for free in the summer.
