Wigan keeper Kirkland delighted to crack 50 games

Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Chris Kirkland said he was pleased to reach a half-century of games for his club.

"A couple of years ago no-one would have given me a cat in hell's chance of making that," the 26-year-old said. "I've never done it before in my career. I only played 34 times for Liverpool in five years and only 29 games for Coventry in four years."
