Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Chris Kirkland is confident they can beat the drop, despite Saturday's home defeat by Aston Villa.
He said: "There have been some big wins for the teams around us. But over the last few weeks we've given ourselves a chance and we've still got that chance.
"There's 18 games left and if we carry on what we've done in the last few weeks I'm sure we'll be OK."
