Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Richard Kingson is happy former club Birmingham City won promotion - so he can show up the club's co-owner David Sullivan.

Sullivan, when the club went down two years ago, slated the likes of Kingson when saying some signings were "a complete waste of space."

Kingson said: "Now they've been promoted, I hope to play against Birmingham next season!"
