Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi admits he's come close to signing for Manchester City several times during his career.
Al Habsi sat out Wigan's FA Cup shock at City on Sunday.
"It was before Sheikh Mansour," Al Habsi told the Telegraph. "I was playing in Norway and got an offer from City for a trial for two weeks when Kevin Keegan was manager. They wanted to sign me but Lyn Oslo asked for big, big money."
Later, with his contract expiring, City came calling again.
"There were two offers on the table for me - one from City and one from Bolton, and I chose Bolton," he says. "So there were three chances for me to join City."
