Wigan chairman Dave Whelan is intent on making further signings after the club secured the signature of Espanyol's Jordi Gomez.
Whelan confirmed he had received a wish list from new manager Roberto Martinez and would do his utmost to lure those players to the club.
"We got our priority list from Roberto, and we are working hard on it," Whelan told the Wigan Observer.
"Jordi Gomez was right at the top and we moved very quickly on that, and we are moving on others as well.
"But there are a lot of players away on holiday - and I think the market will only rev up in about a week or 10 days."
