Wigan Athletic are very keen on Sampdoria midfielder Marco Padalino according to the players agent.
The 27-year old Switzerland international was the subject of interest from the Latics and Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg in the summer and it has emerged that there is renewed interest along with some from clubs in Germany and his homelan says Giorgio Parretti.
"In the summer the rumours linking Marco to Zenit St Petersburg and Wigan were true," he told itasportpress.it.
"Swiss and German clubs were also interested."
But Parretti insists that the former Catania and Piacenza man is happy at the Stadio Marassi.
"Padalino has a contract with Sampdoria, which expires in June 2013, so he is satisfied from a personal and professional point of view," he added.
