Wigan Athletic are ready to offer terms to Michael Ball.

A free agent after being released by Manchester City last June, Ball has been training with Roberto Martinez's first team squad this season.

The Daily Star Sunday says the former Rangers and PSV Eindhoven defender has done enough to convince Martinez to hand him terms.
