Wigan Athletic are in talks for Honduras international striker Carlo Costly.

The Mirror says Wigan are considering a loan move for Birmingham reject Costly.

Honduran striker Costly, 27, flopped at Brum last term in the Championship and failed to score in eight games following a loan switch from Polish club GKS Belchatow.

But Premier League Wigan has been a successful destination for several South American players like Hugo Rodallega and Maynor Figueroa.

And Latics boss Roberto Martinez is willing to offer hitman Costly another chance to establish himself in England.
