Wigan Athletic face stiff competition for Velez Sarsfield defender Waldo Ponce.

The Chile international has already held talks with Wigan, but is also interesting Real Zaragoza.

Ponce's father and agent told AS: "Zaragoza is a big dream for my son, who wants a nice opportunity to take advantage of.
