Wigan Athletic are being linked with River Plate striker Fernando Cavenaghi.
The Daily Mail says he is available as a free agent and English clubs are beginning to make enquiries.
Roberto Martinez is looking for a striker and knows Cavenaghi well but the Argentine will want a club with grander location and resources before moving to England.
