Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has welcomed his side's FA Cup quarter-final fixture against Manchester City.
The Latics, who beat Cardiff City 2-1 on Saturday, head to the Etihad Stadium on March 8 for a replay of last season's cup final which was won by the Championship club.
After being pitted against the dangerous City outfit, Whelan said it was exciting to be again going up against the best.
"When they were in the hat and being drawn the one thing I thought is, 'We'll get Manchester City away at their ground' and sure enough out it came," Whelan told Sky Sports News.
"The FA Cup is such a wonderful event with things like this happening. We're facing City again and I'm really, really looking forward to it."
