Wigan Athletic have dropped their pursuit of Monterrey striker Humberto Suazo.
Roberto Martinez has been a long-term admirer of the Chile international attacker, who is on loan at Real Zaragoza from Monterrey.
Some reports have claimed a deal has been struck to bring Suazo, 29, to the DW Stadium but Martinez insists there is nothing doing on that front after already landing Mauro Boselli this summer.
"We were interested in Suazo for quite some time," said Martinez. "Before he signed with Real Zaragoza.
"Recently, no, as things have changed a lot since the demands of the club to whom he belongs are a bit exorbitant."
