Wigan Athletic defender Paul Scharner expects to return to parent club Hamburg at the end of the season.

Scharner admits he has unfinished business at Hamburg.

"There has been no real change. I am due to be back at Hamburger SV this summer," he told the Hamburger Morgenpost.

"It's my utmost ambition to make a name for myself at Hamburger SV. Those experiences I am having in the Premiership are giving me an extra boost to do so.

"I am actually believing in my full strength again. I am a good player, if I am getting regular match action!"
