Wigan Athletic defender Mario Melchiot is leaving the Premiership for Umm Salal.
The Sun says Melchiot has joined Qatar club Umm Salal.
Melchiot, who also appeared for Chelsea, Birmingham and Ajax, signed a two-year deal to play in the Middle East.
The Latics had offered the 33-year-old Dutchman a new contract to stay in the Premier League but on a reduced salary.
