Wigan defender Gohouri: We will stop Chelsea for Man Utd pal Evra

Wigan Athletic defender Steve Gohouri wants to keep a cleansheet at Chelsea tomorrow for good friend Patrice Evra.

If the Latics bag a draw at Stamford Bridge tomorrow, Manchester United would become champs by beating Stoke at Old Trafford.

Gohouri told The Sun: "My family moved to Paris when I was five, and I grew up in the same poor suburb as Patrice. When we were around 16 we played for the same youth team, Brittany Sud.

"I have not spoken to him since I came to England in January - because I haven't been able to get his phone number!

"I tried to get it from Manchester United but no one there had ever heard of me and they would not give it out.

"And Wigan have not played United since I came here, so we have not had a chance to meet.

"I was also trying to concentrate on getting fit again, because it is hard to make an impression at a new club when you have not played for nearly a year.

"But if we get a good result against Chelsea, I am sure Patrice will contact me instead."
