McManaman said he had a feeling before the game that Wigan would cause the biggest cup final upset for 35 years.
The winger said: "I am made up by the result. I just had a feeling when I woke up yesterday it was going to be our day.
"The longer it went on, we knew we had a better chance.
"The gaffer said it is another game and don't be afraid. That is what we did. I can't believe my season. Everyone at the club has been a real help."
