Wigan Athletic are set to sign West Ham striker Marlon Harewood in a £3.7 million deal.

Hutchings has decided to come up with an increased offer for up-for-grabs Hammers hitman Harewood and hopes to tie up the move today, says the Mirror.

Harewood, who was an early target of Manchester City's new boss Sven Goran Eriksson, has been waiting on the Wigan move since the weekend.

He fancies the challenge after being squeezed out at Upton Park - and he also knows Wigan are throwing money about.
