Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is tracking Ipswich winger Jonathan Walters.

Bruce started trailing the 24-year-old when he was in charge of Birmingham.

And he has retained his interest in Walters, who can play as a winger or an out-and-out striker, since taking charge at the JJB Stadium.

Walters, who has scored nine goals this season, is also attracting interest from Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce.
