Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan is confident keeping his best players this month.
Aston Villa want Hugo Rodallega and Maynor Figueroa, while winger Charles N'Zogbia is wanted by Sunderland.
"I'm not expecting us to sell anybody this month," Whelan told the Wigan Evening Post.
"We've got a good squad here, although we're probably short of one striker.
"But we've had two strikers injured recently so I think our squad will stay pretty much the same.
"There's only money there if we sell someone, and I think you'll find that will be the case for most of the Premier League clubs.
"The football clubs are now, I think, starting to come to their senses, and realising they can be no more borrowing, no more stupidity."
