Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has rejected a £1 million sponsorship deal.
The Mirror says Whelan is ready to turn down a £1million shirt sponsorship deal - to give his name and new company maximum exposure.
Whelan is set to announce a major takeover of his old sportswear firm JJB Sports and will change the name of Wigan's home ground to the DW Stadium today.
The super-rich Latics owner knocked back a £1m approach from a Norwegian TV company to advertise their station on his team's tops for a season.
Instead, Whelan will put a DW Sports and Fitness logo on the strips.
