Wigan chairman Whelan: Man City boss Mancini a class act

Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has no problems with the antics of Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini on the touchline.

Whelan still thinks Mancini is a class act.

“Roberto is one of these managers who do tend to get excited,” said Whelan. “I’ve got no complaints about him whatsoever. A few people have had a go at him, but for me he is a total and utter gentleman.

“I spoke to him before the match and he wished us good luck afterwards for the rest of the season.”
