Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has no doubts Paul Jewell will get Derby County back on the rails.

"He did a fantastic job for us at Wigan," Whelan told his club's official website.

"It is sad to see Derby County playing as poorly as they are - but I am sure Paul will pick them up next season."
