Wigan chairman Whelan fears Man City will inflate transfer market

Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan fears Manchester City's new owners could inflate the transfer market beyond control.

On deadline day City paid almost £35m for Robinho.

"The chap at City said he would buy Cristiano Ronaldo for £150million. That is not football, that is total stupidity," he said.
