Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan doesn't want any row with Liverpool to linger on.
Whelan has drawn a line under the summer saga which saw Roberto Martinez heavily linked with Liverpool.
The Spaniard was interviewed for the Anfield hot-seat before Brendan Rodgers' appointment. Whelan kept fans - through the media - informed of developments, but was criticised by Reds director Ian Ayre who accused him of creating a 'sideshow'.
"It's not worth getting involved in. That's football," said Whelan. "Liverpool are happy and I'm delighted we've kept Roberto.
"Brendan Rodgers is a great appointment and I wish them all the best."
