Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan hailed the performance of Titus Bramble in Saturday's shock win over Chelsea.

He told TalkSport: "Titus is solid as a rock.

"As you say, he's had the odd mistake and when he's made a mistake he's got punished for it but he's been so solid for us.

"Last year he was Player of the Year as you probably know and on Saturday, he was totally outstanding."
