Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelan has blasted the Premiership's foreign owners.

Whelan said: "Why are foreign investors coming into the Premiership? There's only one reason - and that's money.

"It's not because they love football and a lot of them don't even know anything about it.

"There's no-one trying to buy Wigan, Reading, Sheffield United or Watford."
