Wigan Athletic are being linked with highly-rated Scunthorpe United striker Hooper, but reportedly face competition from Wolves and Celtic.
Despite playing in a struggling side, Hooper has found the net an impressive 20 times this term, and is second on the Championship goal chart behind Cardiff's Peter Whittingham.
