Wigan Athletic are in advanced talks for Rayo Vallecano pair Antonio Amaya and Mohamed Diamé.

Spanish sources say Wigan have struck terms over a £3 million deal for both players. Amaya, 26, is a defender, while midfielder Diame, 22, has also been tracked by Liverpool and Arsenal.

For now, Wigan have not confirmed the agreement, with both players said to have struck terms over three-year contracts.
