Hamburg striker Jose Paolo Guerrero is a target for Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce.

The Mirror says Bruce sent No.2 Eric Black to watch the £6million-rated Peru international in last night's Bundesliga loss to Werder Bremen as he closes in on a decision about which forward to buy.

Guerrero, 24, has been a hit for Hamburg since signing from Bayern Munich but could be tempted by the Premier League if the price and terms are right.
