Wigan Athletic boss Uwe Rosler wants to hang onto Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell.
Powell scored a stunner in victory over Bolton Wanderers.
Rosler said: "I contacted David Moyes at United two days ago to ask about Nick and we will be having a dialogue in the near future. I want Nick to stay here until the end of the season.
"I want to promote a culture of excellent football at Wigan and players like Nick will flourish here. I hope United see it the same way."
