Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is prepared to spend big on the right signing.
Martinez wouldn't hesitate to splash the cash on a star recruit - despite the lack of success with Mauro Boselli.
"I don't think it would necessarily put us off spending that kind of money on a player again," Latics chief Jonathan Jackson told the Wigan Observer.
"If the budget allows it, and if Roberto wanted a player, we would spend that kind of money again, no question.
"If we can bring in the right player for the right price, and it's someone who the manager wanted to bring in, then that's what we'll do.
"We're trying to build a team here for the future, to try and break into the top 10 of the Premier League."
